Vouchers

As of late I have dealt with several people who have given me grief about not being able to get into an appointment this week nor my willingness to extend the time period of the vouchers.

While I understand life happens, it comes down to this is my livelihood and vouchers lose the merchant income over all. It is up-sold to a merchant with the promise of returning business, and of tips provided by the clients to supplement the loss of income due to receiving 23% of the value of the product and or service offered. We are also told that when the voucher expire people will come in and spend more with use to use their credits.  As such there is no value in me extending the voucher, as a business.

I am exhausted from dealing with angry people because they all waited to the last minute to book an appointment and want me to bend over backwards for them. The vouchers however were not over sold, I have had amble openings in my schedule over the last 3 months, it is not my fault that voucher holders did not use them and have all waited until last week to try to redeem them.

I welcome future clients to use their store credit before they expire, as these will not be extended under any circumstance. Individuals calling to insist that they should be an exception will be directed to the voucher provider to di

I understand your statement about your business but sometimes things just get in the way of scheduling the appointment. I actually had an appt that I had to cancel back in February due to my wife having knee surgery. Now my voucher wil expire on April 21st and I can't find a slot to sign up for. Maybe you can change your approach and go by case by case basis. Some people have legitimate reasons why they couldn't schedule or reschedule their appoints.

I hope that your wife has recovered from her surgery and is feeling well. While I understand you had an appointment you had to cancel, you still had several months after your cancelation to rebook your appointment.
While in the past I have tried to work with people, it has come down to the reason a voucher is an amazing deal, is because it is for a limited time for a limited item at the cost of the merchant. As I have explained to many people over the past 2 weeks, the voucher turns to credit for any purchase in my office. For example a 42.00 dollar voucher is worth 42.00 which can be applied to an introductory massage which is only 45.00 dollars, and if you wanted to add hot stone to the session it would be 18.00 dollars in total after applying the credit.

I feel this is fair to everyone, including myself and my business to not play favorites or be convinced to loss income to everyone who did not book their appointment over the last 4 months.

Thank you for your understanding in this matter,
Tiffany
